Rhododendron hybrida
( Pink Cascade North Tisbury Azalea )
| Resembling its ancestor, Rhododendron nakaharai , this hardy azalea is a very late bloomer, continuing well into midsummer. Habit is spreading and low, making them very suitable for ground cover or hanging baskets. Flowers are pink, large. Filtered light is best.
Plant as you would any azalea: high and in well-drained, acid soil, rich in organic matter. Though azaleas have a potentially large list of possible pest and disease problems, they are usually trouble free if planted correctly in proper cultural conditions. |
