| Paniculatum, also known as Jewls of Opar, is tubular-rooted, deciduous perennial with erect stems and elliptic or obobate, mid-green leaves. Produces many bowl-shaped, red or yellow flowers. In general, this group of plants is made up of annuals, biennials, and perennials. Leaves are often succulent and deciduous, but may be semi-evergreen. Flowers are showy and saucer-shaped, borne in cymes or panicles. These relatively short-lived plants require well-drained soil that has either poor or moderate fertility, and full sun. |
