| Low, spreading, dense, twiggy, evergreen shrub reaching up to 12 inches in height and up to 8 inches in width. Masses of pale pink, globe or urn-shaped flowers form at branch tips in spring. Leaves are pointed and leathery, broad and glaucus, 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches long, and look similar to rosemary leaves. Excellent for rock gardens, borders or ground cover. Likes moist, acidic soil. In drier sites, apply a good layer of mulch each spring. |
