| The cultivar, 'Cubanelle' has pods that start in green or yellow and mature to orange or red. Pods are 5.5 inches long and 2.5 wide. Good pepper for frying in olive oil. Mildly pungent.
C. annuum seeds should be started indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow the seeds in sandy soil and give them warmth. Transplant 12-16 inches apart. Likes a fertilizer treatment once a month. To keep compact, pinch leaves on young plants. Full sun produces best growth and fruiting results. |
