| Aesculus californica is a 15 to 20 foot tall deciduous tree or shrub, grown in California and Europe. It is rounded with a symmetrical branching pattern. Foliage is striking, dark green, glossy compound palmate leaves. Naturally occurs in dry canyons and gullies of California, but seems to prosper in the moist climate of England. Flowers are white to pink, fragrant, occuring on 4- to 8-inch long, 3-inch wide showy panicles. |
