| This is an upright, spreading, woody-based evergreen perennial with rooting stems. Produces hairy or hairless, fragrant, silvery gray-green leaves, which may be pinnate, 2-pinnate or entirely pinnate, all on the same plant. Bears solitary flowerheads in yellow or sometimes red or white ray florets, occasionally copper-tinted underneath. In general, this evergreen perennial may sometimes grow to be a sub-shrub. Grown primarily for their daisy-like red, yellow or orange flowers, this plant does best when grown in full sun in sandy, fertile soil. While plant is actively growing, water well and fertilize monthly with a balanced fertilizer. During winter months, water should be minimal. |
