| 'Well's Delight' is looser and broader than its species and prefers partial shade. C. crassifolium, a creeping blueberry is a deciduous, mat-forming shrub with oval-elliptic thick leathery, glossy dark-green leaves, to 1/2 inches long. Pendent urn-shaped white to pink or rose-red flowers are borne in axillary and terminal racemes.
Followed by delicious, edible, blue-black berries. Usually grown for it's sweet fruit, can also be utilized in a mixed shrub border or woodland garden. Blueberries love acid soil. |
