( Bog Cranberry )
| V. oxycoccus is a ground covering evergreen plant with slender stems and numerous alternate, widely spaced leaves which are small pointed and leathery, dark green above and waxy gray beneath, with rolled under edges. Small pink nodding flowers are borne between May and July, followed by red, 3/8 inch berries, which remain hard and green until first frost.
This plant requires wet, acidic soil. |
