|This epiphytic cactus is native to the forests in S. Mexico and Central America. Leaves are strap-like and segmented, spineless and rounded at base of plant. Late winter to early summer flowers are bell or funnel-shaped, last only a few days, and are followed by red, ovoid fruit. Ideal temperature range is above 50 degrees and well below 100 degrees, making them perfect for a bright, filtered spot in the home or on a patio in mild climates. Water freely during the growing season and fertilize monthly with a half strength ferilizer. During dormant season, keep just moist. 'Tyke' produces reddish orange flowers with wide-spreading, twisted petals. It produces strap-shaped stems with rounded margins.
