| Acer campestre is a slow-growing deciduous tree with dark, oval leaves that turn yellow in the autumn. The 5 lobed leaves are composed of 3 to 5 entire lobes. Blooms in corymbs of 5 green flowers followed by winged fruit. The cultivar, 'Schwerinii' is a small tree with a narrow crown to 15 feet with purple to dark purple young leaves, becoming greener in the summer. |
