| This is a Kabschia (a subsection of Porhpyrion, which is one of the 5 saxifrage sections) saxifrage with dense rosettes of spiny, lance-shaped, bluish-green leaves, 1/4 to 1/2 inch long. After a couple years it produces cup-shaped, 1 inch wide, single, cream flowers with yellow centers. This is an excellent plant for the rock garden in moist, well-drained, alkaline soil of moderate fertility. |
