| The cultivars of the Novalis Series bloom into white-eyed flowers in rose-pink, deep blue, pinkish red and scarlet. Also into single colors in bright scarlet, white or rose-pink to 10 inches across. These are bushy and straight with almost spherical corymbs 2 to 3 inches across.
Verbana is a popular short-lived perennial, treated as an annual used as a ground cover or low border in front of taller perennials. Flat-topped flower clusters present from late spring until first frost. Almost every color, but yellows and oranges available.
Must have heat, full sun and good air circulation to perform to it's peak. Water deeply to encourage roots to grow deeply, resulting in a healthier, more drought tolerant plant. |
