| This is an erect, deciduous, small tree or large shrub with reddish-brown shoots. Leaves are oval to oblong, deep green on top, underside bluish white, 2"-4" long. Most notable feature is the soft, fuzzy, silvery-gray male catkins, up to 1 1/2" long. Commonly known as pussy willows, these make lovely arrangements and are very pleasing to the touch.
