| Pentas is a summer annual, except in warm climate areas such as Florida, sometimes grown as a houseplant. It has long, oval, hairy leaves. Tight, 4 inch clusters of small, star-like flowers in various colors. Regular deadheading will prolong the bloom time. Requires part shade to full sun, regular moisture, and monthly fertilizing. As a houseplant it requires a sunny window and regular feeding.
