| Upright deciduous shrub grown for its long clusters of dark purple fragrant flowers. Panicles up to 14 inches long of dense fragrant flowers have orange eyes. Graceful, arching branches bear pointed silvery-green leaves to 10 inches long. Reaches up to 10 feet tall and about 15 feet wide. Ideal for attracting butterflies. Combines well with other perennials, especially daylilies and shasta daisies. This is one plant that thrives on severe pruning. |
