| An excellent border plant consisting of large, shiny green leaves surrounding the base of the plant with stiff, spiky tubular-shaped flowers emerging from the center. Flowers are white, lilac or rose in color. If this plant is in a hot climate, afternoon shade is beneficial. This vigorous perennial does best in full sun to part shade. Perfers moist soils, but will tolerate dryer soil. Light pruning includes cutting flower stems to the ground after flowering. |
