| This cultivar has dark purple stems, which contrast with the creamy white flowers. Upright perrenial with vigorous growth, toothed, pinnately divided leaves. Flowers are tiny, off-white, borne on plumes appearing in late summer to autumn.
Artemisia is found mainly in the Northern hemisphere and also parts of southern Africa and South America. Many species are used medicinally and for cooking. One of the french fines herbs, tarragon should be used sparingly as it can be overpowering. Excellent in herb vinegars, tarragon is also delightful with fish, poultry, meats and vegetables. |
