| Primula alpicola is a rosette-forming, deciduous perennial with elliptic, serrated, mid-green leaves, to 4 inches long. White-mealy stems bear umbels of 6 to 12 tubular to funnel-shaped, pendent, fragrant, white, yellow, or violet flowers, 1/2 to 1 inch wide, with white, mealy eyes. Bloomtime is late in the season. Partial shade in humus-rich soil. 20 inches tall, 12 inches wide. |
