|Skimmia reevesiana 'Wakehurst White' is a low growing evergreen shrub, 1 1/2-2' tall and 2-3' wide, with quite an open habit. The white, fragrant flowers are produced on 2-3" panicles. Small, pear-shaped, white fruits ripen in fall and persist through winter. A lone specimen can set fruit in this species. A variegated form is available, with white markings along the leaf edges. Requires a rich, moist acidic soil. Native to China.
