| Rhizomatous, upright, hardy perennial, excellent in borders or naturalized gardens. Grows to 28" tall and 12" wide. Leaves are ovate, hairy, grayish-green, to 5" long.
Leaflets are toothed with conspicuous veins. Showy, 3" wide, yellow with conical purplish-brown center, daisy-like blooms from in fall. Spreads rapidly to cover a large area.
Durable, long-lived. Remove spent flowers to encourage additional blooms. Native to Central North America. |
