| Mounding, compact, highly branched, spineless, deciduous shrub. 'Aureum' is a dwarf-type, growing up to 3 feet tall and wide. Yellowish-green leaves are slightly hairy, round to ovate, 3 to 5 lobed, toothed and heart-shaped at the bases. Leaves grow to 2 inches in length. Greenish-yellow, bell-shaped flowers are held in upright racemes, 1 1/2 inches in length and are followed by rounded, deep red fruit, 1/4 inch across. A native to northern Europe and Siberia. |
