|Upright perennial with grey-green, slightly hairy, lance-shaped leaves 2 to 4 inches long. Racemes of extremely fragrant, purple, violet, pink, mauve, or white flowers to one inch across. Very nice bedding plants, and excellent cut flowers. Does best in light, fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun is prefered, but partial shade adequate. Plants should be set out in fall for late winter, early spring flowering.
