| This easy care, spring flowering bulb's Genus is often sold as or refered to as Endymion. Two species are hispanica, the Spanish Bluebell and non-scriptus, the English Bluebell or Wood Hyacinth. The Spanish Bluebell is very prolific and tolerates heat better.
Leaves are strap shaped, shiny and mid-green. They grow basally, and are 8 inch to 2 foot long. Small, blue bell-shaped flowers grow pendently along a flower stalk to 18 inches tall. This common and vigorous plant easily spreads. |
