Quercus palustris
( Pin Oak )
| This fast growing oak is a broadly conical, with branches pointing downward. A deciduous tree, it has smooth grey bark and elliptic, deeply lobed, glossy, green leaves that turn deep red to brown in the autumn. It's acorns are nearly round. This is a great oak to grow in damp areas or marshlands, but not suited to parking lots or patios due to the pendulous branches. |
