| Grandiflora is evergreen, compact, well-branched shrub, that makes an attractive topiary plant in pyramidal or globe form. The leaves are larger than the species, dark green, glossy, and oval-round. This neat, attractive plant seems like a great, inexpensive substitute for the formal garden because of its heat, drought, and soil tolerance, but pest and disease problems seem to damper the possibilities. Watch for scale, thrips, or spider mites, as well as powdery mildew, where air is stagnant and humid. Locate in full sun to prevent mildew. |
