| Low growing, compact clumps of roundish leaves with scalloped edges, 1-2 inches long. Crimson to coral, bell-shaped flowers set atop wirey stems from April to September contrast well with the rounded foliage. Makes a nice cut flower. Excellent for the shady border in hotter areas, these plants are a natural for rock garden, woodland paths, companion plants for hosta, ferns and strawberry begonia, iris, lilies, and peonies. |
