| Tropical, evergreen perennial with short rhizomes and smooth, leathery, 20 to 36 inch long, oblong leaves. Unusual, 24 to 39 inch long, pendent inflorescences, resembling bird's of paradise, hold yellow sepaled flowers. Borne from spring through summer.
Requires a minimum temperature of 59 degrees F. Excellent cut flowers. Native to Panama and Costa Rica. |
