| Tall, staight, thin tree that is probably one of the fastest growing Eucalyptus. It has been known to grow up to 10 feet in its first year. Foliage is 4 to 8 inch lance shaped leaves with reddish pink bark. Pink to cream flowers bloom in spring and summer alongside tight clusters of shiny seed capsules. The foliage of nearly all species has a strong pungent odor similar to menthol. Well drained soil is preferable. Trees do very well planted from seed. Plant seeds in spring or summer keep shaded and water sparingly until 2 to 3 inches high. |
