| These trees are grown for their attractive foliage and pannicles of flowers and persistant, papery fruit capsules. Spreading growth habit with pinnate leaves to 18 inches long, that emerges pinkish-red, turning medium green and then becoming creamy yellow in the fall. Small, yellow, mid to late summer flowers to 1/2 inch across are held in large airy pannicles to 12 inches long. Flowers are followed by pink-flushed fruit capsules. Able to withstand adverse soil and weather conditions. Prune to shape-up young, gawky trees. |
