| Echinaceae augustifolia is a fast-growing, erect perennial. Ideal plant for low maintenance gardens. Profuse mahogany centered flowers with narrow pink, purple, or occasionally white petals, atop hairy stems. This perennial blooms all summer and into fall. Basal leaves are 6 inches long and ovate, stem leaves are linear to lance shaped. Superb in the perennial or mixed border. Good cut flower. May be divided in spring or fall.
Native of Southern Canada down to Texas. Plant in full sun; requires average soil. |
