| Mat-forming perennial with unbranched, erect white-hairy stems and lance-shaped leaves 4 inches long. From early to late summer it blooms loosely rounded cymes of 4-10 rose-pink, white, or scarlet flowers 1 inch across with notched petals. This perennial is known for exceptional hardiness, tolerant of poor soils and little water. Often, flowers will remain through first frost. |
