| P. argus has pale green leaves, 5 to 8 inches long. Bears solitary flowers in spring, with dark purple-spotted, off-white petals, dark green veined pouches are red above the lips, yellow beneath.
Thick, broad, strap-shaped green leaves, often mottled, with grey-green color. Orchid-shaped blooms with a distinctive pouch are borne singly on stems to 1 foot tall. Prefers cool to intermediate temperature with indirect light and ample moisture. Some species require night chilling. Mottle-leafed species require less chilling at night. High humidity preferred during summer months. |
