| Quercus aliena is a spreading, deciduous tree with fissured, gray-brown bark; eggshaped, toothed and veined, glossy, bright green leaves, blue-green beneath. All Oaks are difficult to establish and slow to develop for 2 to 3 years after planting. Extra organic compost or peat moss should be added to the soil before planting. |
