|Texas Everbearing is a vigorous tree bearing medium-large, mahogany to brown fruit, with strawberry colored pulp. This variety bears young and gives good crop in short-season areas of the Southwest. Ideal for eating fresh or preserves. Leaves are 3 or 5 lobed, from 4 to 10 inches long. Provides dense shade. Locate where ripe fruit will not drop on patios, terraces or drives. Tolerant of a wide variety of soils and loves heat. Does not need pollination.
Important Info : Protect young figs from pocket gophers by planting in large, wire baskets.
