| P. potanini is a deciduous shrub that grows 2 to 3 feet high. The leaves are deeply divided, with oblong leaf segments 1/2 inch wide. Nodding maroon flowers in the spring are cup shaped with 5 to 7 sepals and bracts.
Plant in well prepared garden beds, with organic matter worked in. They respond well to a yearly fertilization, and addition of bonemeal. |
