| This variety is rather shrubby. Dusty green, accompanied by crimson flowers and goblet-shaped seed pods about three-quarter inches wide. Flowers bloom in larger numbers when the tree is younger. It is also tolerent of many soil types, wind and heat. The foliage of nearly all species has a strong pungent odor similar to menthol. Well drained soil is preferable. Trees do very well planted from seed. Plant seeds in spring or summer keep shaded and water sparingly until 2 to 3 inches high. |
