| Pendula is a large, deciduous tree. It forms an asymetrical, umbrella shaped tree, with weeping branches that reach the ground. It has dark green leaves, turning yellow in the fall. Prefers deep, moist, loamy soil, and thrives on limestone based soil. Very popular in Europe but has is not as much used in North America, due to the availability of native ash trees. Susceptible to ash borer. Native to Europe and Asia Minor. Cultivated for centuries. Various cultivars are available. |
