| Tropical, evergreen perennial with short rhizomes and smooth, leathery, 24 to 48 inch long, oblong leaves. Unusual, 12 to 24 inch long pendent inflorescences, loosely resembling bird's of paradise, hold yellowish-white sepaled flowers. Borne from spring through summer.
Requires a minimum temperature of 59 degrees F. Excellent cut flowers. Native to Peru and Ecuador. |
