| This genus consists of evergreen and semi-evergreen woody perennials and sub-shrubs. In their native habitats, they grow in limestoney soils of Europe, Turkey, and West Asia. Flowers are white or pink and sit in clusters atop 1 inch long stems. Leaves are green, stalkless and may be alternate or opposite. Grow in alkaline soil that is well drained and fertile in full sun. This plant will tolerate acid soil. |
