| These trees are grown for their attractive foliage and pannicles of flowers and persistant, papery fruit capsules. Upright and narrow growth habit with pinnate leaves to 18 inches long, that emerges pinkish-red, turning medium green and then becoming creamy yellow in the fall. Small, yellow, mid to late summer flowers to 1/2 inch across are held in large airy pannicles to 12 inches long. Flowers are followed by pink-flushed fruit capsules. Able to withstand adverse soil and weather conditions. Prune to shape-up young, gawky trees. |
