| This upright perennial has woolly, dense foliage and bears unusual whorls of hooded flowers. Leaves are sage-like, ovate to lance-shaped and yellow-gray, to 4 inches long. Flowers are held on upright shoots, to 4 inches long. Excellent for the flower border. Mixes well with rock roses and lavender. If plant become too leggy, selectively prune back, no more than half the plant.
Phlomis cashmeriana produces lilac-purple flowers from the upper leaf axils in midsummer. To 36 inches tall, 24 inches wide. |
