| This lovely plant, traditionally associated with Hawaii, is usually grown as a houseplant on the mainland. Leaves are glossy and dark green, to
6 inches long, and are ovate, with a finely toothed edge. Large, delicate blooms with five petals reach up to 7 inches across. Those of 'Fiesta' are wavy, dark apricot with red and white interiors. Distinctive long, creamy-white stamens extend out from the center. Commonly grown outside year round in frost free areas. May be pruned to keep size in check. |
