| Shrub with branches that grow horizontal. It has roundish gray-blue leaves that are 2 to 4 inches around on short branches from a pale green trunk. This variety produces red flowers that bloom on 1 to 2 inch long stems and are 3 to 5 inches wide. It is similar in appearance to E. macrocarpa. The foliage of nearly all species has a strong pungent odor similar to menthol. Well drained soil is preferable. Trees do very well planted from seed. Plant seeds in spring or summer keep shaded and water sparingly until 2 to 3 inches high. |
