| Clump-forming perennial with hairy lance-shaped to elliptic mid-green leaves 2-3 inches across. Clustered terminal cymes with many flat deep red flowers 2 inches across. Flowers are very flat and rounded with shallowly toothed lobes produced in summer and early autumn. This perennial is known for exceptional hardiness, tolerant of poor soils and little water. Often, flowers will remain through first frost. |
