( Sandra Witch Hazel )
|Grown for their great fall color and fragrant winter blooms, witch hazels are very nice in a shrub border. This is an erect shrub, leaves are green, broadly ovate to 5 inches long, becoming yellow in the fall. Spider-like, small yellow to orange, sometimes red-tinged flowers appear on bare shoots in late winter and early spring. Height and spread to 15 feet.
Important Info : Smaller that H. x intermedia, the Chinese Witch Hazel is a good choice on smaller lots. Nice in flower arrangements too
