Papaver rhoeas is a cheerful annual poppy, growing in all zones, but performing best where summers are cool. It has irregularly divided leaves, slender stems covered with hairs, grows 3 feet tall. The flowers are single or double. Sow successively for continuous bloom, broadcast with fine sand. Will establish and self sow in your garden. Keep taking cut flowers, and remove seed capsules to extend the bloom time. |
