| This is a small, bushy, upright, evergeen shrub that is usually grown as winter fruit-bearing annual. Grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Leaves are oblong to lanceolate, downy, deep green, 2 to 3 inches long, and with wavy margins. Flowers are small, white, star-shaped, 1/2 inch across, and held in axillary cymes, to 2 inches long. Fruit is small, ellipsoid, orangish-red to red. Native to Brazil. Protect from frost. |
