| Pentas lanceolata is a summer annual, except in warm climate areas such as Florida, sometimes grown as a houseplant. It has a spreading habit, 2 to 3 feet wide, with long, oval, hairy leaves. Tight 4 inch clusters of small, star-like flowers in various colors. Regular deadheading will prolong the bloom time. Requires part shade to full sun, regular moisture, and monthly fertilizing. As a houseplant it requires a sunny window and regular feeding.
'Ruby Glow' is compact with red, star-shaped flowers. |
