|P. delenatii has leathery, strap-shaped leaves, mottled gray-green above, deep purple below. In spring, white to pink flowers, with pink lips, are borne singly or in pairs.

Prefers cool to intermediate temperature and ample moisture. Some species require night chilling. Mottle-leafed species require less chilling at night. High humidity preferred during summer months.
