| Fraxinus quandrangulata is a large, fast-growing deciduous tree. It forms a rounded, broad spreading crown with branches that are distinctly square. It bears pinnate, dark green leaves turning purplish in the fall. Leaves are up to 10 inches long, with up to 7 to 11 oval, tapered leaflets with toothed edges. Grow in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil. Native of Central North America. |
